International internship in Israel

Part of summer vacation 2017 representatives of the academic community of Ukraine, Belarus and Poland both students and famous professors and university rectors, as well as public organizations of Israel, dedicated an internship on the topic "International Economic Relations of Israel", having received 30 hours of lectures with representatives of the Knesset, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Energy and the Embassy of Ukraine.

Conference "ISEDR 2010"

There was an international scientific-practical conference "International Strategy for Economic Development of a Region" on  May 6-7, 2010 in Sumy State University.

186 scientists, educators, doctoral students, graduate students, undergraduates and representatives of domestic companies, including 20 doctors of Economics and 45 Candidates Economics participated in that conference. The participants came from Ukraine, Russia, USA, Canada, Czech Republic, China, Tanzania and Nigeria.

Vice-President for scientific work of SSU, Professor Anatoly Mykolayovych Chornous and chairman of the conference – head of the  Economic Theory Department, Doctor of Economics, Associate professor Prokopenko Olga Volodymyrivna appeared at the opening ceremony.

Conference differed by its interesting lectures and active discussions. Head of the Marketing Department SSU, Doctor of Economics, Professor Illyashenko S.M. was the first to appear at the plenary session with the report "Choosing a strategy of innovative development based on the concept of technological structures". Vice-president for scientific work, Head of International Economics Department at Donetsk Humanitarian Institute of Economics, Doctor of Economics, Professor Dubnítsky V.I. had the report on "Creating the conditions of nanotechnology formation in nanoeconomics - the way of innovative development of Ukraine". The important environmental issues of regional development were considered by the head of the Sustainable development and ecological security of the Council for the Study of Productive Forces of Ukraine National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of Ukraine department, Doctor of Economics, Professor Khlobystov E.V. His report entitled "Investment and innovation processes in the environmental field". Problems of long-term development at the regional level was the subject of the report "Shaping the strategy of regional innovative development based on the prediction of socio-economic changes" by the Head of the Economic Theory Department SSU, Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor Prokopenko O.V. Features of urban development issues were considered by the associate professor of marketing SSU, Doctor of Economics, Assoc. Teletov O.S. in the report "Problems of urban features in the region". Head of the Theoretical and Applied Economics Department of Sumy National Agrarian University, Doctor of Economics, Professor Mishenin E.V. represented his report "Global Forestry: environmental and economic dimensions and mechanisms of implementation". Head of the Management Chair of the State higher education institution "Ukrainian Academy of Banking NBU", Doctor of Economics, Professor Vasilyeva T.A. completed plenary with the report "Diversifying of the joint investment securities portfolio by the criterion of liquidity as a means to counter the negative externalities".

Active scientific debates also continued during two days of breakout sessions.

The conference resulted in the publishing of the reports theses. The conference materials include representatives of more than 40 universities and research organizations.

Organizers and guests of the conference noted the fruitful work of its members and a valuable exchange of relevant scientific information and experience of its practical application. Conference participants unanimously supported the decision on whether to continue to organize the conference "International Strategy for Economic Development of a Region" in Sumy at the Economic Theory Department of Sumy State University.
