Sumy State University entered the top three universities by the results of Ukrainian Student Olympiads.

Olha Prokopenko has received Queen Yadwiga scholarship at Jagiellonian University

According to results of applicants’ competitive selection from different countries, Head of Economic Theory department, Dr of Economics, Prof. Olha Prokopenko has been included into the list of 20 scholarship holders of the Queen Jadwiga Scholarship Fund, who will carry out research at one of the best universities in Poland and Europe - Jagiellonian University, located in Krakow.

Students of International Economics specialty of UNI FEM started their training in Poland

Head of the Department of Economic Theory, Olha Prokopenko, together with Professor from University of Bielsko-Biala, Jan Tsebulya for the fourth year in a row, organize the industrial training for students from Oleh Balatsky ASI FEM at the Polish enterprise.


Ethics of International Business and Commercial Diplomacy

Description of the discipline: A well-known scientist in the field of business relations Dale Carnegie argued that success in financial affairs of man depends on its professional knowledge at fifteen percent and from its ability to communicate - at eighty five percent. Indeed, any business is a coordinated action of many people, and the effectiveness of these actions depends on their ability to build relationships.Experience of business meetings confirms that it is necessary to follow defined protocol customs and rules in order to successful business communication between partners, especially between representatives of different countries. The mastering of behavior types offered by etiquette makes it possible to create a favorable psychological climate for business communication, making the business successful and enjoyable.

Scope of the discipline: The basic ethical concepts in international management, factors determining ethical choice, peculiarities of business etiquette in different countries, conducting business negotiations, specificity of written business communication.

Ability and skills: The course is aimed at deepening of understanding of business etiquette in different countries, development of skills in organizing business contacts (negotiations, meetings, receptions, business correspondence) with people - carriers of other ethical norms and forming of rules of behavior, following which ensures conflict-free and successful cooperation with representatives of other countries.
